The Laird Report assembles source information from a number of primary sources. In particular:

• Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) – probably one of the best sources of US financial information on the web. It is run by the St. Louis Federal Reserve and has over 200,000 data series.
• Eurostat
• Stats Canada
• IMF

Our technology base is primarily a combination of R software and LaTex. R is an incredibly powerful statistics and graphics platform for doing analysis.
